Documents required for admission
University preparatory programs:
- Application for admission;
- Educational transcript with transcript and notarized translation into Russian
- Copy of passport, with notarized translation into Russian, and visa
Bachelor's Degree
- Secondary (complete) general education or secondary vocational education transcript with transcript containing grades and legalization/apostille (if necessary) and notarized translation into Russian.
- Extract from the Federal Register of Information on the Recognition of Education and/or Qualifications Obtained in a Foreign Country (if necessary).
- Certificate of Level 1 Proficiency in Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL). Or a certificate of completion of the preparatory department of VSSIK. Certificates are not required in the following cases: a) education received in the Russian Federation
- Copy of passport + copy of study visa.

Master's Degree
- Bachelor's degree with a transcript containing grades, legalized/apostilled (if necessary), and a notarized translation into Russian.
- Extract from the Federal Register of Information on the Recognition of Education and/or Qualifications Obtained in a Foreign Country (if necessary).
- Certificate of Level II Proficiency in Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL). Or a certificate of completion of the preparatory department of VSGIK. A certificate is not required for those who received their education in the Russian Federation.

Postgraduate Studies
- Master's degree, bachelor's degree, or specialist's degree with a transcript containing grades and a legalization/apostille (if necessary) and a notarized translation into Russian.
- Extract from the Federal Register of Information on the Recognition of Education and/or Qualifications Obtained in a Foreign Country (if necessary).
- Certificate of Level II Proficiency in Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL). A certificate is not required for those who received their education in the Russian Federation.

Applicants wishing to study at VSGIK must submit an application and a copy of their passport to vsgaki-omms@mail.ru no later than June 30th. The passport must be valid for at least 18 months from the start date of the study visa.
International applicants have the opportunity to apply for a quota (grant) for study from the Government of the Russian Federation. Competitive selection for free education under this quota is organized by Rossotrudnichestvo offices worldwide. If there is no Rossotrudnichestvo office in your country of residence, the competitive selection will be organized by the embassy (consulate) of the Russian Federation. To clarify the dates and format of the selection tests and to inquire about the selection process, please contact your Rossotrudnichestvo office or diplomatic mission in your country. To participate in the competition, register on the website https://education-in-russia.com/ and complete the application form. Please indicate "East Siberian State Institute of Culture" first on your application.
